Wailea is another place that hosts one of Maui's great beaches, Mokapu Beach.  We visited Mokapu Beach where there was outstanding snorkeling right off the shore.  Visibility was around 100 feet in some areas.  There was a healthy supply of colorful sea life and sea turtles.  A definite stop for any adventurous snorkler. 

Update:  I have just been informed that Mokapu Beach has been washed away by storms.
